I Ignored God for Too Many Years

You thought you could manage your life better but ended up making a mess of it all.  You were certain God would shut down all your fun – and the fun shut you down. You didn’t want to end up a hypocrite like your parents but living apart from God ended up making you one.

    • A. You find yourself thinking about them all the time.
    • B. You live in the past more than in the present.
    • C. You hold out little hope for joy returning in your future.
    • D. You stay angry at yourself for making poor decisions.

      1. You thought you could manage your life better but ended up making a mess of it all.
      2. You were certain God would shut down all your fun – and the fun shut you down.
      3. You didn’t want to end up a hypocrite like your parents but living apart from God ended up making you one.
      4. You realize serving God instead of rebelling could have saved you so much needless pain.
    • B. The choice you face…
      1. You can continue running from God and experience the same emptiness, frustration and difficulties…
      2. Or you can make God (not yourself) the center of your life and see His amazing plan for your life unfold.
    • C. Moving on…
      1. Admit to God it was a mistake to have ignored Him for so many years.
      2. Get serious in seeking God with all your heart.
      3. Ask Him to take the mess you’ve created and make it your message.
      4. Let Jesus take His rightful place on the throne of your life.
